It is NOT too late to register for this evening's presentation at 7:30 pm of 'Why Our Children Self Harm' offered by ParentGuidance.org. What can parents do when they have a child that is self-harming? It can be a scary and confusing experience that is tricky to understand. Join us to learn tools for understanding why this happens and what you can do to help. You can register right up to the last minute, even if you can't attend the live event. By registering, you will be added to the follow-up email list and receive a recording of the session the following day. Simply scan the QR code to register!

LMS Panthers! We will be having our next Literacy Night on Thursday, November 16 at the Litchfield Public Library from 5:00-6:00 PM.  This will be the perfect opportunity to get a library card, renew your card, and find a great book!  Please come join us as we look forward to seeing you there.  Please contact the LMS office at 217-324-4668 if you have any questions.

Parent Teacher Conferences LMS Panthers! Parent Teacher conferences are fast approaching. We will be having conferences on October 18 and October 19 from 4:00 until 7:00 each evening. Please contact the LMS office at 324-4668 to schedule an appointment with your student’s teachers. Thank you, and we look forward to you coming out to visit with the teachers!

Reminder, Litchfield CUSD #12 has NO SCHOOL on Friday October 6 for teacher institute and Monday, October 9th for the Columubus/Indigenous Peoples' day. School resumes Tuesday, October 10 at the usual time.

7th Grade, 3rd Period Science & Technology class . . . Students are coding their drones using the drone-block app on their Chromebook to complete various challenges. In this video, students are coding their drones to take off from one table and land on the table next to them.

Rooms (parent teacher communication tool) launches this morning. If you have provided up to date email and text message addresses to us AND have opted in for messages, you will recieve your invitation this morning. If you signed up already for ROOMS from the "magic code" provided by your chld's teacher, you should see that class in your Litchfield app once invitations are sent out this morning. We appreciate your patience.

Important Info: We are currently having trouble with our district phone system. We are working to remedy it and will put out another notice when issues are resolved. District secretaries will be monitoring email for important communications OR stop by the appropriate school office if you have an immediate need. We will send another notice when these issues are resolved.

Early Dismissal for Friday, May 19th has changed.. New times: Elementary @ 11:15. LMS @11:30. High school depends on their exam make-ups and information is being sent out to high school families. Report cards will go home with your child or will be mailed shortly after the last day depending on grade level. Info also on our district website and FB group.

The LHS Hospitality class is putting on a fundraiser on March 18th at the Unit Office from 7PM-9PM. We have 80 tickets available for this event. You will be served a delicious, Italian style meal that includes salad, breadsticks and a dessert. There will also be a silent basket auction, a performance by our LHS jazz band, and a designer beverage bard (non-alcoholic of course). All proceeds from this fundraiser go toward the FACS budget so that our culinary, foods, and intro to baking classes, as well as our Hospitality class, have more funds for projects in the future.
