Quarter 1 science superstars!
I would like to recognize Ms. Sicily Lamb as my first science superstar! My focus this quarter was on kindness and work ethic, and Sicily wonderfully exhibits both of these qualities. During my science class as well as in science and technology, she has worked great as a partner or as a small group member. She will help out in any way she is asked and goes above and beyond to help her peers. Recently, during PE she encouraged another student by running alongside him during the mile. She is a great listener and always has great things to add to our classroom discussions. Sicily, I am so proud of you and thankful to have such a positive role model in the 6th-grade class for students to look up to! Keep up the great work! I can't wait to see what else is in store for your 6th-grade year.
I would also like to recognize Waylon Black as the second science superstar for this quarter! Waylon has transitioned into LMS with so much ease and I can count on him for anything. He comes into class every day and doesn’t hesitate to follow the directions on the board. He hasn’t had a missing assignment and works hard in class and out of class to earn good grades. I have never once heard Waylon complain about assignments, classes, or working with a partner. He is always positive and ready to do his best. Waylon also adds great things to our discussions and asks great questions that promote deeper-level thinking. Waylon, I am so thankful to have you in my class and I know your 6th grade year will continue to be great!
