Fall is in the air, and there is a lot of Panther Pride at LHS! October is a great reminder that high school is about much more than what happens in the classroom. From Homecoming activities to athletics, clubs, service opportunities, and classroom learning, our students continue to find ways to get involved and leave their mark. Ask your student how they will leave their mark at LHS this month. We are encouraging students to try something new. Get involved. Show Panther Pride. Make a positive difference in someone's day.

There’s a Purple Rush happening at LHS, and every student is invited to be part of it! Our new Panther Pep Club is all about building school spirit, creating a positive school culture, and making LHS something our students are excited to be part of. This isn't just a club where students attends events; it is a group that helps create the Panther experience. Students have a voice in planning spirit activities, sharing ideas, and finding new ways to bring our school community together.
The best part? Panther Pep Club is for EVERYONE! You don't have to be an athlete, a cheerleader, or a student who has been involved in school activities before. Whether your student loves being in the middle of the action or is simply looking for a way to get more connected at LHS, there is a place for them in the Purple Rush.
We're always looking for new members! Students can join at any time throughout the school year. Your student just need to send Mrs. Wagenblast an email to be added to our group. We hope more of our Panthers will find a way to get involved, meet new people, show their school spirit, and leave their mark on LHS.
Come join the Purple Rush! 💜🐾 |

Our Panthers have been busy building their Panther Points! Students received an email during the week of September 21 with their current Panther Point total following our first progress period.
As we move into the second half of the quarter, students have another opportunity to make positive choices, demonstrate Panther Pride, and contribute to our school community. Quarter 1 Panther Point totals will be emailed to students on October 21.
Remember, every student begins each semester with 100 Panther Points, and additional points can be earned throughout the year for positive behaviors, involvement, and meeting our school expectations. The only time points are deducted is when a student serves a disciplinary consequence, such as lunch detention, Weeknight School, ISS, or OSS. Students have many opportunities to earn points back by continuing to make positive choices
Parents can help by talking with their student about their Panther Points and encouraging them to continue making choices that help them Leave Their Mark at LHS! |
